NATCHINA MAIL is one of the "gems" of this 2023 sale. She's really beautiful, with a presence that captures your heart. Love at first sight guaranteed!
More than just beautiful, she has tremendous locomotion and personality. Her pedigree is equal to the task. She is the alliance of two famous European bloodlines, those of the great stars NARCOTIQUE II DE MUZE and KATCHINA MAIL.
Her sire is our magnificent young black KWPN stallion MELISSAS SYDNEY (Emerald van't Ruytershof x Mr Blue), whose first foals were be born in 2021. He is a grandson of Eric Lamaze's crack NARCOTIQUE II DE MUZE (Darco) from the famous QUERLY CHIN line.
A 4-year-old finalist, SYDNEY was in the Top 10 of 4-year-olds at the Fontainebleau Jumping Final and Reserve Hunter Champion. At 5, he was again in the Jumping Final, and was also Reserve Champion Hunter. At 6, he again qualified for the Hunter championship. MELISSAS SYDNEY has a superb model and locomotion, with a jumping technique he takes after his sire EMERALD. His young foal production is truly out of the ordinary, the firsts are 2 years old this year.
Her granddam is TALISSA MAIL, a cross between our champions ALLIGATOR FONTAINE and KATCHINA MAIL.
A generous, demonstrative mare, she won in jumping both before and after her first foaling.
She is the dam of ELGAR MAIL (Utrillo vd Heffinck), her first foal to win the GP Amateur 1m30, then of the excellent IMAR MAIL (By Ceira d'Ick), a good jumping winner at 5 with champion Patrice Delaveau.
ALLIGATOR FONTAINE, NATCHINA's maternal grandfather, was a great international champion with Eric Navet, Champion of France and ISO 190, before becoming a formidable "father of mothers".
Her 3dam is our great champion KATCHINA MAIL, daughter of the Holsteiner CALVARO (Caletto II).
KATCHINA won the French Championship for 6-year-olds with Patrice Delaveau, then had an exceptional career in CSIW and CSIO GP 1m60, winning the Birmingham Horse of The Year Grand Prix, 1st of the German Master in Stuttgart, 1st of the CSIO 5* Grand Prix in Gijon, 1st of the CSI3* GP in Gesteren, 3rd of the GPWC in Oslo, 3rd of the Grand Prix 5* in Deauville-Ride, 7th of the CSI 5* GP in Cannes, 7th of the CSIW 5* GP in Helsinky, 6th GP W 5* Vigo, 3rd GP Bordeaux, 7th GP 5* Paris-Porte de Versailles, 4th GP CSI 4* Bourg en Bresse, 7th GP CSIO 5* Dublin, 1st Nations Cup CSIO 5* Rome, 1st of the CSIO 5* Nations Cup in Gijon, 3rd of the CSIO 5* Nations Cup in Falsterbo and also 11th of the Final World Cup 2010 in Geneva and Team Silver Medal at the 2010 World Championships in Lexington.
KATCHINA has €540,000 in high-level winnings from 2006 to 2012. ISO 178.

Her first foal ORANGEADE MAIL (Fergar Mail) was a good winner at 5 and dam of the stallion TYGAR MAIL (Quidam de Revel) placed in the 4yo Championship, GP 1m45 and excellent sire of winners, CANDAR MAIL (Lando) 12th and best SF of the 7yo World Championship in Lanaken for Eric Lamaze's stable, then in 2023 very good winner in CSI 5*GP in Canada, placed 2nd of the Rolex GP 1.60m in Calgary. ORANGEADE is also the granddam of ATHINA MAIL (Jaguar Mail x Spring Mail x Quite Easy), winner of the CSI 3* GP 1m50, ISO 145.
KATCHINA's first two male foals are stallions CATCHAR MAIL (Diamant de Semilly) and DELSTAR MAIL (Utrillo vd Heffinck), who won the French 5yo and 4yo championships respectively in 2017, an exceptional double. DELSTAR MAIL wins in 2023 in GP 1.40m and CATCHAR MAIL wins in GP CSIO5* 1.60m in the French team.
The foal filly by KATCHINA MAIL and CORNET OBOLENSLY 2023 broke the world auction record for an online foal sold at the exceptional price of €185,000 (excl. VAT).
Her 3rd dam ELVIRA MAIL (Laudanum ps) is one of our founding mares and the dam of the stallion JAGUAR MAIL (Hand In Glove ps), a great winner in CSI and CSIO (Sire of The World 2007, 5th in the team competition and finalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games), ranked and stallion N°1 in the world in CCI in 2021.
Her 4th dam ADORET Z (Almé) is also the dam of CHERGAR MAIL (Laudanum xx) CSIO 5*GP 1.60m, ISO 165, the stallion FERGAR MAIL (Laudanum xx ) alias CHAPULTEPEC LS exported to Mexico, the stallion HOGGAR MAIL (Hand In Glove xx) French Champion 6-year-old, CSI, GP 1.50m, ISO 145.
